PHCN OWERRI IS A FRAUD !!!

I have never seen where human rights  is so violated as in Nigeria, and the perpetrator go unpunished. PHCN  Owerri Business office violates it customer/consumers rights. You may want to ask in what ways? In electricity billings of   course!!..Look at this typical scenario: Once it’s month end, I observed that PHCN starts aggressive power supply (what I call flashing of light) The light will come and go intermittently or PHCN may decide to give uninterrupted power supply for the weekend and on Monday or Tuesday its off again. Beware once PHCN starts power supply in this manner ,it means that PHCN bills for that month had been distributed to customers by the Business office foot soldiers who are sometimes unprofessional in their approach and interactions with customers when delivering the bills and they, are at the same time to do Meter reading but, prefer to hang the bills on the gate and lazily write at the back of the bill ‘’GL’’ meaning ‘’gate locked’’ and ‘’so I will bill you an amount I choose by my own  estimation’’. Of course as a law abiding citizens and believing that you need to  contribute your own quota to develop our economy and pay up the bill as at when due. Sometimes the PHCN bills ranges from #3,000-#10,000  per month with no regards to if you consume the energy or not .Once I have paid my bill, we endure the flashing(that’s power supply) for another 3-4 days, and the blackout returns fully, till the following month when new bills will be distributed. PHCN makes sure that customers receives the bills and temporarily restores power supply  once again , probably for the entire weekend and  thinking this time it’s for real power is back to stay, I go ahead to pay my bill. No sooner that you have paid the bill that you are reversed back to status quo,  of  total darkness for the rest of the month until PHCN is ready to distribute a new bill for the next month. If you have not noticed this fraud from PHCN, please take note from now on, more so It’s almost end of the month. Always note when power is restored after a long time of being in total   darkness, It’s indeed a vicious cycle. This is fraudulent, more so a Government parastatals or agents ripping off the citizens, they should be serving. Why is the sector deregulation policy not   working   ?  What is holding the key players / buyers   in the sector   from taking over immediately and reform the power sector as it was done in the Telecom industry ? For how long are we to wait, to really enjoy the services we are paying for in PHCN ? Right now we pay for services not rendered nor enjoyed. .Please   lets help to fish out the criminal elements in Power Holding Company of Nigeria plc. (PHCN) What is the way out. ?

Pastor Refuses to Perform Wedding Ceremony because of the Bride's ‘Sexy Dress'

Apostle Michael Canty of The Truth Ministries Holiness Church recently angered an entire wedding party which might have damaged his new ministry’s reputation, after he refused to marry a bride and groom on their wedding day because he felt her dress was too “sexy”.
Lisa Washington said ‘she’s never been more embarrassed’ when a local pastor refused to officiate Saturday and allow her to wed her groom on their wedding day in his facility. Both families were present and the food was waiting to be served at the bride’s aunt house.
Family members flew and drove long distances to be present for the couples special day. Upset and frustrated, guests at the wedding practically ‘begged’ the leaders of the church to reconsider but to no avail, he wouldn’t change.
“I can’t believe this! I flew here to attend my cousin’s wedding and now I have to put up with this crap. Now this so-called pastor doesn’t want to come out of his office” said the cousin of the bride.
The wedding scheduled Saturday, August 10th, was scheduled for 3pm. At 2pm, the pastor greeted the bride and groom when he noticed the bride’s dress. According to the bride’s mother, the pastor jokingly asked ‘where is the other half of the dress?’ Not thinking anything of it, the family laughed it off and continued applying make-up on the bride. Around 2:30pm the pastor asked a leader of the church to ask the bride and the family about the other part of her dress. The bride informed the leader ‘this is it’. The leader reported the news to the pastor and then the pastor informed personally the bride and groom at separate times he could not perform the wedding with the bride in her selected dress. The pastor told the bride she would have to cover up her breast area and find a way to add length to the dress. The bride informed the pastor there is no way to accomplish this with so short of a notice and she has to wear her dress. Then the pastor informed her he would not be able to perform the ceremony then walked back to his office.
The wedding party tried many times to change the pastor’s decision but their efforts were ineffective. Around 4:15pm guests at the wedding were growing impatient and were looking for answers for the delay. When they were told the reason for the delay around 4:35pm their impatience change to anger and disbelief.
After hearing how the bride was crying her eyes out in the back, a minister who was a guest at the wedding offered to perform the ceremony. When the minister asked the pastor for permission to perform the ceremony, the pastor told him ‘no’ and expressed to him how his request was disrespectful.
AmericaPreachers.com asked the bride and groom for pictures of the dress but instead was sent an email with a link of the exact dress worn by a professional model from the company’s website. The bride did mention, ‘there were small alterations made to the dress to fit more desirably to my vision.’ “I’m a unique person, I chose this dress because it’s different than the traditional wedding gown you see at every wedding” the bride said.
Two days later the couple is still not married and is currently looking into options to recoup money their family lost with travel, food, and other expenses.
The Truth Ministries Holiness Church was established 14 months ago and currently rent a converted shoe store for worship services. Calls to Apostle Canty and Truth Ministries were not returned. Neither the bride or groom were members of the church.

So it was with a shamed face that I popped the hood and Peter helped me pull up the bonnet. I grabbed a stone from the ground and knocked the battery head with Paul saying to me ‘do not worry bro, it has happened to all of us’! Thankfully the car started after several bashings to the battery with the stone and I slowly crawled out of their close.”

Since that time Teju Babyface became much richer and owes some of the best cars available in Nigeria today…

Femi Fani-Kayode apologises for comments on Bianca Ojukwu, others; denies sexual relations with them

Apparently tired of the thunder and brimstone trailing his recent claim that he once had intimate  intimate relationship with three distinguished Nigerian ladies, former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has apologised, saying that he meant no harm with the statement.
Fani, while trying to explain that he is not a tribalist in an article entitled  ”A Word For Those Who Say I am A Tribalist”, dropped names of three Igbo ladies he had intimate relationship with in the past.
According to him, “I was not a tribalist when I had a long-standing and intimate relationship with Miss Bianca Onoh, an igbo lady, who later married Colonel Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu the leader of Biafra and who is now our Ambassador in Spain. I was not a tribalist when I had a long-standing and intimate relationship with Miss Chioma Anasoh, another igbo lady, who I almost married. I was not a tribalist when I had a long-standing and intimate relationship with Miss Adaobi Uchegbu, another igbo lady, who was exceptionally close to me and who is now a leading figure at the National Headquarters of the ruling PDP.”
Press Secretary to Fani-Kayode, Bisi Lawal, in a letter of apology made available to DailyPost regrets mentioning the three ladies in the write up.

The letter reads, “Chief femi Fani-kayode expresses his deepest regrets or mentioning the names of that he was once associated with in his last article titled ”A Word For Those Who Say I am A Tribalist”. He meant no harm by doing so and neither did he at any point make references to having had any sexual relations with any of these ladies when they were associated with him as is being suggested by some members of the public. He was simply trying to emphasise the fact that he has nothing against the igbo people and that his friendship with these three ladies in particular over the years provided some evidence of that.
“For the record he has not seen Madame Chioma Anasoh, Chief Adaobi Kate Uchegbu and Ambassador Bianca Onoh in many years and he admits that it was inappropiate for him to have mentioned their names in the essay, to use them as a point of reference in a public discussion or to make any references whatsoever to the nature of their past association. All references to them have been erased from the updated version of the essay.
“Chief Fani-Kayode has reached two of the ladies concerned and he has personally conveyed his unreserved apology to them both and to their families for his indiscretion. He shall endeavour to reach the third lady to do the same in the next few days. Chief Fani-Kayode has nothing more to say on this matter and would prefer to remain focused on issues of national importance and not of a personal nature”  it added.

The event did not live up to what an award should be  even though it was first of its kind in south east held on 10th of August in Concorde Hotel Owerri,the organizers would have done better than this.We did not see the so called red carpet nor did the event kick off on time. My Saturday was nearly ruined by the event thank God I had to leave to attend to more important matters.The usual razzmatazz we see in most award ceremonies  are lacking, no side attractions except for Chief Morroco's band and am not a fan, again we have to wait for ages before Imo State Governor or his representative, if indeed he is  actually representing  the Governor to show up.And the Mcee's boring constant reminder  the arrival of the Governor only to find out that even in ser
